Decay Pipe

The decay pipe is 200m long which allows positively charged pions in flight to decay into a positively charged muon and a muon neutrino. The muon neutrinos from the pion decays in the decay pipe form a major component of the neutrino beam with about 1% contamination of both electron neutrinos and anti-neutrinos.
