The extracted proton beam from the main ring comes as nine bunches in a pulse of 1.1 microsec per 2 sec and it is steered and directed by a series of bending and focusing/defocusing magnets to the alminum target in the primary beamline. At the target the beam direction is steered to coincide with that toward Super-Kamiokande.
