Brett's Transparencies and Proceedings while at SUNY.
This page holds slides and proceedings of some of the talks I have
given while at SUNY. The only ones here are the ones which are
organized somewhat coherently, are in electronic format and are not
lost. So, these don't include a short talk I gave at
APS/AAPT
in April 98, any of the DOE reviews nor SK meetings. There was also,
of course, my oral exam (95?) but that is ancient and long gone.
Finally there was a first seminar at SUNY in 98 which is too chaotic
to put up.
- DPF'99 slides. This gzipped tar file holds the
slides I showed at DPF'99. The tar file consists of author.ps
which is the author list for the p->e+pi0 paper, and talk.ps which is
the rest of the slides. For this talk, I also did some hand marking.
You can get the poorly scanned versions of these slides from
http://www.physics.ucla.edu/dpf99/trans/7-19.pdf.
- The DPF'99 proceedings for my
talk. This gzipped tar holds `viren0719.abstract' and `viren0719.ps'
which are the abstract and proceedings, respectively, as submitted to
DPF'99 organizing committee. The proceedings for this talk have
also been submitted to LANL and are available via:
http://xxx.lanl.gov/abs/hep-ex/9903029. As of this
writting, I don't have info on the publication of the official
proceedings, but I have heard it will be electronic only.
Probably watching the
DPF'99 page
will uncover details when they are available.
- Also, the compiled source including Xfig, jpg, gif, and eps
originals, plus all compiled eps, dvi, and ps files can be found
at:
ftp://superk.physics.sunysb.edu/pub/bviren/superk/dpf99-compiled-source.tar.gz
(6.5MB). This is just the cvs exported and compiled directory.
To remake the slides just do `make ps' in top level dir. To remake
the proceedings do `cd proceedings; make'. You need various
tools for the make to work. See README in toplevel dir for a
list.
- Here is a seminar which I gave in
May 99 here at
SUNYSB and at
BNL. It is largely
based on the DPF'99 talk (but I talked slower so as to pad it
out to 1 hour).
